A new brand for a bright future… Welcome Balloonz!

Once Abraham Lincoln said “Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine”, and as President Lincoln, here at Bloomz we look at the exciting future ahead of us and have decided to take a huge step forward.
Today, we are excited to take the brand with us into the future, a future where parental engagement is not just about messaging, scheduling parent teacher conferences, or even tracking a student behavior in the most complete parent-teacher communication app in the market. That’s right, we envision a future with much more than that, one where our dreams elevate to the skies like unpoppable bubbles, to guide us in the future of parental engagement. Please help me welcome our new brand: Balloonz.
Our new brand reflects how high our helium-filled aspirations are. It is a name that describes the slow but sure ascendance of our solutions to problems that go beyond parent involvement. If we really want to provide parents with creative ways to engage with their kids’ world, what better method than through those “brightly colored rubber sacs inflated with air and then sealed at the neck, used as a children's toy or a decoration.” We’re not just talking about any balloons, we’re thinking Balloonz – of every color, every size, every occasion, to be distributed to parents everywhere via our digital platform (some details are still to be hashed out).
As our fearless CEO put it, “this is a huge step in our life as a brand” referring to the rebranding of our company, formerly known as Bloomz. “Every startup finds itself in that critical moment when it’s time to make a gutsy call, to pivot into something greater. This is that moment for us.” The brand will start the transition to Balloonz today, and balloonz will be distributed to parents everywhere as soon as the details have been figured out.
Please join us in welcoming our new brand and in thanking Ciaran and Amanda, the people who planted the seed that inspired this change in the first place:
PS: If you’ve made it so far, you probably know now what this is all about. Like Groucho Marx once said “A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.” Happy April Fools!
Please let us know your thoughts in the comments below or share with your teacher friends on Facebook and Twitter :)
PPS: We do recognize that the brand Balloonz already exists, it’s actually a balloon store in Chicago who we expect won’t mind us using their name for this brief moment and joke. Thanks in advance!
