Students Practice Responsible Digital Citizenship On Bloomz

News travels fast online and students are becoming digital citizens of the world. To avoid problematic situations with lasting consequences students should practice communicating responsibly on the internet. Bloomz facilitates thoughtful sharing by giving students access to submit their work online via iPad, Chrome Book, or laptop.
Students first learn how to share online content with those they know. Teachers lay the groundwork for responsible digital citizenship by creating guidelines about what kind of communication is (and isn't) appropriate to share. Students learn to treat online content like face-to-face communication. A good rule of thumb is if you wouldn't say it, don't post it. When the teacher publishes the student content, it gets added to the timeline and the work is sent to the parents. This practice helps students make smart choices for future online sharing.
Students access the class list, pick their timeline, add their work, annotate on it and submit it to the teacher. Once the work is submitted, it remains in pending approval status until the teacher publishes it. Visit the Bloomz support center to set up student access to sharing on iPads or Chrome Books and Laptops. Do you encourage digital citizenship in your classroom with Bloomz?
