A thoughtfully refreshed look across web and mobile — cleaner typography, more breathing room, and a genuinely modern feel. A short guided tour is built in, so anyone signing in for the first time this year finds their way in seconds. On the web, open tabs pick up a new release on their own, so nobody runs yesterday's build.
The left tray now groups everything you work with — schools, classes, groups, children — so you pick your context once. Across the top, a horizontal icon menu runs the same actions on whatever you picked: Home, Messages, Calendar, Groups, Settings, and a More button that opens every other tool. Same menu in the same place on every screen, so nobody has to relearn where things live. A search box on the More menu and on Settings → Features finds any of the 40-plus modules by name.
Not just the messages — the whole app. Every menu, button, alert, form, and help text renders in the family's language across 250+ languages, so a parent isn't navigating English chrome around a translated paragraph. For Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, and Farsi the entire layout mirrors right-to-left, navigation and reading order included, so it reads the way it should.
New this year
See full details →A full accessibility pass across the app this year: every interactive control now announces itself to screen readers, every place that used color alone to signal something — unread badges, sign-up status, behavior flags, form errors — now carries a text or shape cue too, dialogs close with Escape and hand focus back where you left it, and animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting. Contrast and tap-target sizes are enforced by automated tests, so they stay fixed. Our WCAG 2.1 conformance report (VPAT 2.3) is published and kept current.
Updated this year — now verified by an automated daily pass
Text in the app can scale to 200%. Contrast is clearer, icon buttons have labels and large tap targets, images are announced by screen readers, and keyboard focus is visible on the web app.
