Bloomz for Cities›NeighborLift · Neighbors Helping Neighbors
NeighborLift · Neighbors Helping Neighbors

A senior posts the lawn job. A neighbor nearby claims it.

Help requests with city staff behind them, so nobody has to ask twice.

NeighborLift lets residents ask for help and lets approved volunteers claim it. City staff approve both sides, neighbors and volunteers, before anyone takes part. A neighbor posts a request, such as yard work, snow, an errand, a ride or a home repair. A volunteer within their radius sees it and claims it, marks it done, and the neighbor confirms. Points are paid through Civic Rewards when the neighbor confirms.

Post request

A neighbor asks for a hand with a task.

01

Ask, claim, done, confirmed

A neighbor posts a request with a category, a short description, a date and time window or flexible timing, an address and how many volunteers are needed (one to three). Volunteers within their chosen radius, one to 25 miles with five as the default, see the first name, the category and a distance. Only after someone claims it do they see the address and phone number.

✓
Both sides approved: staff approve neighbors and volunteers before anyone takes part
✓
Privacy until claimed: first name and distance only; address and phone after the claim
✓
Done, then confirmed: the neighbor confirms; a reminder goes out after 48 hours
✓
Points on confirmation: paid through Civic Rewards when the neighbor confirms; 25 by default, set by the city
02

City staff in the loop

City staff with the right role review applicants, approve, reject, suspend or reinstate them, and record background-check results. They can post a request on behalf of a neighbor, review requests before they go live, and resolve a dispute by confirming, reopening or cancelling. Bloomz does not run background checks; your city records the outcome of the ones it does.

✓
Applicant review: approve, reject, suspend or reinstate
✓
Background-check status: required by default, recorded by your staff
✓
Post on behalf of a neighbor: for residents who cannot use the app
✓
Daily award limits: three per volunteer and five per confirming neighbor

Questions we hear

Common questions

Does Bloomz run background checks on volunteers?

No. Your staff record the result of checks your city runs or arranges. NeighborLift can require one before a volunteer is approved.

Who can see a neighbor's address?

Only a volunteer who has claimed the request. Before that, volunteers see a first name, the category and a distance.

How are volunteers matched?

By category and distance, within the radius each volunteer sets. It is not AI.

Is it on for every city?

No. Bloomz switches NeighborLift on for your city and sets up the staff roles with you.
